There have been so many clothes donated, either via trucks and other vehicles from North Queensland and the Sunshine Coast as well as from locals that the storage facilities here are bulging at the seams.

Please hold off donating more clothes. Hang on to them as there may be a time in the future where they are needed.

Most of these places have basic bathroom and toiletry supplies as well.


Here is a list of places that are distributing donated clothing to adversely affected Gympie folk.

St Vincent de Paul (Vinnies) - 2 John Street Gympie - 5482 2737
Flood Relief Hours: Mon Wed Fri 12pm to 3pm.
They have some clothing, toiletries, and cleaning products in the back shed. Ask for Frank.

Salvation Army (Salvos) - 42 Stumm Road, Southside - 5481 2002

I believe they have clothing in the church.

There is so much clothing out there at Long Flat.
Go out and browse around.
They are also looking for volunteers to help sort out the donations that have arrived there.

Another distribution hub with stacks of clothes and personal items.
